Catch Up- Our Life In Fast Forward

We are going to do a fun little exercise called, catch up on our lives in fast-forward with the same pictures you post on instagram. There has to be some type of blog shaming website that this post is perfect for.
This is where we are now in as many pictures and as little words as possible! Like I said before, we have been busy playing catch up and traveling so without further ado...

Thursday after Lollapalooza, we went to a Titans pre-season game! We had a blast, but we lost to the Red Skins...by a frickin point.

We did some snuggling with Ellie on a lazy Saturday...

Then we got motivated and went to the dog park....

We experienced some beautiful weather...

I decided to cut my hair short...

I turned 29!! We had a few people over for my birthday and we hung by the pool and the grilled out at night. For some crazy reason, I only took 2 pictures on my birthday.

We did some more post birthday snuggling...

We took a road trip to Chattanooga to see my family...

We took a survey of my papaw's barn that Matt will eventually be turning into a dining room table...

Matt and Andy played some hoops...

We ate at a waffle house...

We came back to Nashville... No, I did not document this with a photo...

I set up my fantasy league...

Football season started with the season opener at MTSU...

I really, truly am embarrassed of this blogging style, but we have just been super busy. I hope to get back into the swing of things so you don't have to see my instagram feed reincarnated on my blog.

Late Lollapalooza Wrap Up

Well, we will ignore the fact that it is almost the middle of September and that means I have almost missed over a month of blogging. Mr. Cotty and I have been slammed with work, birthdays and trips to see family, but we will get to all that.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in Chicago! The weather was absolutely perfect and the music was even better. We hit the runway early on Friday morning so we could arrive in Chicago at a decent hour. After arrival we checked in then headed straight for our favorite grub spot in town, Eleven City Diner. This place....wow. We usually visit ECD at least 4 times while we are in town. Seriously ya'll, its the best!

Once we got our belly's full of delicious food and some select adult beverages we headed over to the festival. I, of course, was rocking my Cherub shirt.

Friday night we headed over to a venue in town for an after show.

When it comes to music festivals there is no rest for the weary. We were up and at em' on Saturday morning and headed over to the festival as soon as the gates opened up.

Saturday night we headed for one of the Lollapalooza after shows...

We got Sunday morning started right at no other place than Eleven City Diner...

We capped off the weekend with a delicious dinner at Tamarind for sushi and saki on Sunday night.

Here is to great music with great friends! Looking forward to next year!

Weekend Recap (a little late)

Thought I would catch up on our weekend recap or should it be weekends? Either way, I digress. I won't bore you with a bunch of words but rather multiple weekends worth of pictures. Our life in fast forward...ready...set...go!

-WEEKEND OF JULY 20-

Thursday we checked out Nashville Dancin'. Good music, good beer and free moonshine before 8:00pm, I don't think you can beat that.
SIDE NOTE: Whoever created that logo = genius. Batman building + rock fist = epic graphic design. Nashville is doing big things!

Friday I got this little text from one of my best girls Julie. She is preggers and they found out they were having a girl. She wants me to teach her how to twirl to which I said of course!

Saturday morning Mr. Cotty and I woke up and got some good work done. BOOM- work hard, play harder.

After working hard, we decided to try and be good parents by taking Ellie for a little swim.

Then we decided to throw the good parent thing right out the window, by keeping it super classy and drinking 40 ouncers (speaking of playing harder). You can pass judgement if you like. We don't care.

Then we headed to a cookout with The Walkers. Since we were in the pool, this was the only shot I got. It pretty much sums up the evening.

Sunday, we tried out a new Mexican place right around the corner from our house. It was pretty tasty, but no US Border in my opinion (Team Cotty's personal favorite).

At some point during that week, we had a candlelit dinner just because because we are badass and we love each other.

Then we tried to pick back up the good parenting by throwing the ball down our tiny hallway where she only has to run five feet playing fetch.

Then at some other point that week, I had a girls night with these lovely ladies.

-WEEKEND OF JULY 27-

Towards the end of the week, I had another girls night with these girls.

Saturday we went to the dog park and Ellie made a new friend. This is Faith from Indiana. Her family was in town for a high school reunion and her Dad and two sisters brought her over to the dog park. I swear if we could adopt 10 other dogs we would, but we can't because we tried adding a second dog once, but that is another post entirely.

After the dog park, we went over to Matt's office to set up some new things for his first day with his new firm. He hadn't cleaned that thing in 3 years in a while so, being the stellar wife I am,  I swept and swiffered until I was blue in the face.
I always forget my husband is techincally a Doctor, a Juris Doctor. I have no clue what that means, but I know it's fancy.

Saturday night, we decided to take dinner to the deep south and make a shrimp boil. We got the recipe from our best friends Beth and Kelly. It was ahhh-maze-balls. We also had "What to Expect When You Are Expecting" on DVD from Netflix. It had some funny parts, but overall kind of a dud.

Sunday we went to church and took it easy. We have been trying to lay low so far this week since we are headed to Chicago for Lollapalooza this weekend which usually makes for amazing pictures and great memories with great friends.
